Who we are
At Tilia Tea Company, we grow more than tea — we grow connection, community, and joy. Tucked into our micro-farm in the heart of Vermont, our teas are hand-harvested, organically grown medicinal herbs, nurtured with care from seed to sip.
We believe tea is more than a beverage — it’s a ritual, a grounding pause, and a way to bring people together. Whether you’re catching up with a friend or savoring a quiet moment for yourself, we’re honored to be part of that experience.
Our story began with a whimsical wish. Our daughter, Linden, adored hosting tea parties for friends and neighbors, sparking a family project that soon took root and blossomed into something much bigger. Rooted in our passion for herbalism and holistic health, Tilia Tea Company was born.
(Fun fact: “Tilia” is the Latin genus for Linden trees — so yes, we’re named after our little tea enthusiast!)
Today, we’re proud to offer a growing collection of single-varietal teas that reflect the beauty, flavor, and benefits of the native plants we love. As a small-batch farm, our teas are seasonal and tend to sell out — join our community to stay in the loop about new harvests and releases.
We are deeply committed to regenerative, restorative agricultural practices that keep our soil, water, and ecosystems thriving. In partnership with local landowners in and around Barre, Vermont, we’re transforming underutilized land into vibrant growing spaces and creating hands-on agricultural volunteer opportunities for all ages. Plot by plot, we’re energized by the return of native pollinators and birds — and by watching land shift from weeds to wellness.
From our family to yours, thank you for sharing a cup with us.
