Linden

Linden flowers and leaves

Linden (Tilia spp.) is a deciduous tree native to Europe, North America, and parts of Asia, known for its fragrant clusters of pale yellow flowers and broad, heart-shaped leaves. Often planted along city streets and in parks, linden trees are a symbol of justice and have a long history of use in herbal medicine, especially in European folk remedies. We harvest the flowers, which bloom in late spring to early summer, for tea and herbal preparations.

Linden is valued for its gentle calming properties, used to ease anxiety, promote restful sleep, and soothe tension. It’s also used to support digestion and relieve mild cold symptoms, thanks to its mild antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory effects.

Linden tea has a smooth, subtly sweet flavor with delicate floral notes and a light, honey-like aroma. It pairs beautifully with lemon balm, chamomile, or stevia, and can be enjoyed hot or iced. As our namesake, linden holds a special place in our hearts! It’s a timeless herb that brings warmth and calm to any tea or herbal collection, and one we’re always proud to share.
